chipguy, yes I agree - standard business practice. What comes around, goes around. It says more about the fragile position of Sun than who will be successful in picking up the pieces.

BTW, what goes around comes around. Sun was very busy doing the same thing trying to convince unhappy Alpha users to jump to SPARC when HP acquired Compaq. They weren't very successful since most Alpha users are smart enough to avoid switching from one dying house RISC to another.
