There would seem to be two logical explanations for why they paid $500K for SAM:

1) Because the $6MM revenue number in the PR is a "hopeful/future" estimate, and PV forgot to word it as such.

Or..

2) SAM has decent revenue ($6MM or whatever) but are in poor financial shape: lots and lots of debt, operating at a loss, or whatever.
