We won't know if the buyout was worth it until there is approval or failure. If there is approval, the Cognate buyout made sense, because we know (in hindsight) the Toucan/NWBO/Cognate triangle was not adequately resourced to get Cognate past its incubation stage. In the meantime, NWBO's communication and misleading goalposts have been atrocious.
