Personally i don't have children either, but there are millions out there who, as you say, deserve better
and their world will be better in some ways. Our world is better for more than it was in the Viking's time.

One and only life, so a relatively healthy longevity is valuable too.

Enjoying whatever helps, as long as you know it doesn't unfairly hurt others. Stress kills, screw it.
