Div won't go down at all - an AMRN acquisition would be highly acretive to the bottom line and FCF - div would go UP if someone issued new stock to pay for the BO. Companies will do anything to not cut divs, especially if they're a dividend aristocrat - meaning they have paid a div of $X for Y consecutive quarters, and div growth is Z%/yr - div cuts always cause the pps to drop, sometimes by huge amounts, so much that the cap gains losses outweigh the amount of annual divs lost.
