I appreciate it...I had previously thought that the comparison would just be a pre and post test of the aterial plaque scan. To know that they recruited patients who are only on statins is helpful...but I'm a little disappointed they didn't try to recruit some patients that were not on a statin (or other CVD drug) if only because it would show how Vascepa works independent of any other CVD drugs....if we had that, then the label could be wider and possibly used as a first line prescription for prevention that could help people avoid going on a statin or some of these other injectables and pills with side effects and great expense. Oh well, not sure why Amarin didn't think of that.
