Handicaps in our group are similar. We play foursome against foursome, usually 2 best balls gross on the front and best 3 on the back, double bogey max. One guy usually makes the teams. He doesn't use the numbers, classifies the players as A B or C and makes the teams accordingly

It's nice to have a lot of horsepower in the engine room but you need some in the wheelhouse too.
