I remember, about in the '80s, seeing a bambi bucket moving through N Sydney skies. In the distance the horizon, over miles, was a bright red. I remember thinking how unsteadying the bucket would be.
Couldn't find that one, but drifted to three others.

When the helicopter is in position, the crew releases the water to extinguish or suppress the fire below. The shots consist of a take off from the staging field, dips from a nearby pond to get water and several drops on two different fire locations. This action takes place in the High Park Fire to try to mitigate spot fires in the area west of Fort Collins, Colorado.

As you know, in dire times, we have had firefighters move both ways between the U.S.A. and Australia in respective summers. They have worked well together. Now we have terrible fire trouble at the same time.
