A disruptive technology/approach might need grass roots disruption to take effect sooner rather than later. Look at this from the regulators standpoint.
Regulators see the following:
A microcap no-name company telling the world that it is promoting a new development called "cellular homeostasis" that allows the body to heal itself of CNS diseases. In fact, Anavex is promoting 2-73 to effectively treat not just one but three CNS diseases when no other drug has EVER effectively treated just one disease. It has no jv's, no partnerships, no WS firms supporting their efforts. No wonder why the damn price is where it is.
So, what is going to change the picture in a more expeditious manner? Obviously, going through the laborious and costly regulatory procedures to eventually gain approval is the easy answer. Unfortunately, that takes $ and a lot of time. However, imo we are fortunate today to have social media as an instrument to make the public, media, and governmental bodies aware of 2-73 and the potential positive humanitarian impact on the world. Do not underestimate the potential effectiveness of social media. Do not underestimate the possible effectiveness and power of this message board.
