Issaquah business owner Claude Blumenzweig announces mayoral candidacy
Saturday, May 13, 2017 11:36amNEWS

Claude Blumenzweig has announced his candidacy for the Issaquah mayoral race of 2017.

Blumenzweig is the proprietor of Vino Bella, located at 99 Front Street North, Issaquah. He is centering his campaign around developing solutions for residents to deal with the ongoing traffic situation in Issaquah and developing a plan to tackle the increased cost of living for residents within the Issaquah area.

Blumenzweig also plans to abolish the 5 cent bag tax within Issaquah.

“I look forward to engaging with the constituents of Issaquah and hearing their concerns,” Blumenzweig said. “My campaign and I will be very active listening, learning from the citizens of Issaquah. We look forward to delivering our plans to fix the issues at hand that Issaquah is facing.”

Justin Costello, Claude Blumenzweig’s campaign manager, who also attended the meeting last night said, “This was typical on what to expect from the communication from Issaquah City Government Officials. The transportation manager (Mr. Sheldon) was unprepared and did not even understand his own poorly constructed spreadsheet/data. My 6 year old son could have done a better spreadsheet. The only city employee who made any sense was the police officer in attendance who answered questions from constituents with a real concern. We need solutions and not paying almost $100,000 per year to employees who don’t take their job seriously.”

Wouldn’t you think if some guy running a billion dollar hedge fund was someone’s campaign manager he would have won an election in ISSAQUAH? Or the very least made it through the primary?
And certainly a newspaper reporter would have mentioned this billionaire guy running a campaign.

And yes it is the same guy!

I noticed some chatter about political connections and an “endorsement” claim from a Justin Hill from MO. Still not sure what his connection is there or whether there is a connection and not some grass roots type emailing some politician to tout billionaire boy.
The “endorsement tweet” was odd to say the least.

There was one other political thing I came across - a campaign contribution in Nevada:

Note the address. Is it odd he used the resident agent address used on multiple shell corps???? And not his own?

Did he pick up his campaign skills (or lack of them) from Harvard? not the business school the one listed on his old resume - the Kennedy school of government
