EXTENSIVE DD: OCTOBER FDA APPROVAL OF CBD ISOLATE

Something the media has failed to do

Dr. Scott Gottlieb is the CBD Legalization Whisperer

If anybody wants to know why CANB, VATE and SIPC are great stocks to own before the FDA announces the federal legalization of CBD Isolate in the food supply and dietary supplements, all one has to do is a little bit of reading

When people say “CBD” and think about OTC products, there are 3 possible options that come to mind in terms of formulation

Before we talk about the different formulations, please understand that Hemp contains many different cannabinoids

Some say 50, others say 75, 100 or even 150+

We are only going to talk about the top 5 cannabinoids that show up in laboratory tests of hemp:

CBD

THC

CBG/CBN/CBC


Now, getting back to the most important topic of all — CBD formulations

A company has 3 basic options when it manufactures products containing CBD

1ST OPTION: “CBD” OR “CBD ISOLATE”

1 CANNABINOID

CBD is CBD, right

It’s a white crystalline powder that is often referred to as CBD Isolate

Isolate meaning the CBD is isolated, it is all alone

There is CBD and nothing else

Purified CBD in a powder form

You can take that powder and dilute it down in any solvent

A variety of different oils and fluids are typically used as solvents


2ND OPTION: “FULL SPECTRUM CBD” OR “FULL SPECTRUM HEMP EXTRACT”

5 CANNABINOIDS

This is CBD + THC + CBG/CBN/CBC

There is no isolation or purification of the CBD here

CBD exists in its native form alongside 4 other cannabinoids (there are many more cannabinoids actually present, these are just the top 5 by concentration)

A variety of different oils and fluids are typically used as solvents

CBD Isolate is often added in to increase the concentration of CBD in the solvent


3RD OPTION: “BROAD SPECTRUM CBD” —

4 CANNABINOIDS

This is CBD + CBG/CBN/CBC

The THC has been removed

In order to make this formulation, CBD is first isolated from everything else

After the THC has been removed, the CBD Isolate is then mixed back in with CBG/CBN/CBC

A variety of different oils and fluids are typically used as solvents

CBD Isolate is often added in to increase the concentration of CBD in the solvent


With this background information in mind, please feel free to read my analysis regarding why the FDA will choose CBD Isolate as the first CBD formulation to obtain federal permission to be placed into the food supply and dietary supplements, which I published on July 25th:

12 ounce cans — 15 mg CBD

16 ounce bottles — 20 mg CBD


Purity Of CBD

No more than .02% THC

No more than .01% of any other cannabinoid (CBG, CBN, CBC, etc.)


Potency Of CBD

No more than 20% CBD — CBD Isolate is a powder and will need to be diluted in a solvent before being added to beverages


VATE’s CBD Coffee and CBD Iced Tea each utilize 10 mg CBD Isolate so both should get the green light from the FDA

SIPC’s CBD Beer utilizes 4 mg of CBD Isolate so it should also get the federal greenlight
