Below are some quotes taken directly from the mouth of Dr. Gottlieb’s CNBC video interview

My commentary is in bold


“You need to be delivering it in a purified form”

When you purify CBD from any cannabis (Hemp or MJ) plant, THC and the other cannabinoids (CBN, CBG, CBC, etc) are completely stripped out and you are left with a white crystalline powder that is essentially 100% Pure CBD isolate

So “purified form” = THC-Free Pure CBD Isolate

And “you need to be delivering it in a purified form” = all other forms of CBD are not going to be acceptable


“What we’re seeing on the market... you’re getting all different formulations, all different potencies...”

We’ve already discussed the 3 formulations of CBD products —

CBD Isolate (Pure CBD)
Broad Spectrum CBD (CBD + CBN/CBG/CBC)
Full Spectrum CBD (CBD + CBN/CBG/CBC + THC)

The implication is that the non-purified forms aren’t going to be permitted by the FDA due to inadequate safety data and the risk to public safety
