The intergraph patent was very generalized, and it pretty much applies to most of the CPUs currently in existence. After they finish with Intel, my guess is that they will target IBM. I believe TMTA also infringes on their idea, but what's the point in going after them?
I looked at the two primary patents in question. They
primarily apply to VLIW machines and both clearly apply
to IA64. I thought one of them could have been challenged
on prior art but I am sure Intel would have done so if
there was reasonable grounds.
The obvious Intergraph targets after Intel are TI, Philips,
and Transmeta. IIRC TI recently settled with Intergraph.
Of course it is pointless to go after Transmeta until it
actually starts making some money.
