We had free enterprise medical care up until about 1964

Our county budget had a line item to finance the hospital serving the uninsured

and the commissioners watching hospital costs/charges

Then medicare and the entitled

Hospital exec salaries went from $100k/yr to $500k -- hey maybe$750k -- the fed gov't pays -- who is to object

and here we are
