I know we need to help people -- and do it with taxes -- what I object to is that we call it an "entitlement" instead of welfare

-- you can imagine how we worked in the '30s to avoid that building off mainstreet that had the sign "welfare office" and
then there was the "poor farm" just south of town -- what a disaster had we wound up there

gosh, can you imagine the lines if it had been called an "entitlement"
