What a painful Monday on Wall Street!

Thankfully, the major averages look primed for gains again after a massive sell-off Monday.

Since July 16’s peak the Dow has plummeted over 1,600 points. No sector was spared and the pain has been felt by all.

Today, though, the major averages are looking to recover some of yesterday’s losses.

As we write the Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite are all up 1% or more by midday.

The Russell 2000, however, is still lagging and represents the only major index flirting with closing in the red today.
