I just got off the phone with TD. They said the company will be posting whatever the $$ (settlement/courtwin/buyout) back into my account as cash, proportional to the number of my shares.
Great news cause I have a ROTH IRA account! YES!

The company bought my shares back, at the pps at the time, which was what I paid. But yeah, my shares were just gone one day and my cash had increased. This case is a bit different, since UOIP took the shareholders with them. Someone has been paying the TA this whole time though, so I'm not sure if they will be compiling a list of shareholders or if they will work with the brokerages to make distributions. Either way there will be a fee, which will be passed to shareholders.
