Granted looking at record is a terrible way to look at it, and some of these guys haven't pitched 4 years, so I don't know how you compare. ERA is the most important stat not wins and losses when we tell whether a guy is a good pitcher. I mean Trachsel won 15 games in 2006 how comes he won't be getting a big contract I'm sure suppan will though and he only won 12 games if I remember correctly, sometimes you just have to watch a guy pitch. Some of these guys on the list are not worthy of being talked about in the same sentence with ZITO.

Garland, Pettite, Buehrle.

Other are simply not as good such as Mussina, schmidht, schilling.

And some are just as good as him. Such as Wang and Peavy.

There are only 5 pitchers that I would clearly take over him. Santana, Halladay, Carpenter, Zambrano, And Willis.

Some I don't even Know how we can compare. Using guys like Verlander who pitched 1 year. Anyways I seen your list, and the worst, I can place him is a tie for 7th. So I'm convinced he is a number 1. Just my opinion though.
