look at it this way. If you were to buy a puppy from a breeder. You would fill out the papers and give your pup a name. Probably the breeder gave the whole litter names for socializing purposes. But your pup was called Mitch and- good grief- that wouldn't do. So when you filled out the paperwork you decided his legal name would be Sinbad and so it was.
