Hampel had a choice. Stay with Anavex or move to Elsai. He chose Elsai

Hampel was a Scientific Advisory Board Member, his full time job was in academia just as is the case with the other SAB members - check it out.

Hampel had the chance of moving to Eisai to a, no doubt well, paid role that match his career path and it seems his passion. As a full time employee of Eisai a conflict of interest prevents him from being a SAB member.

Great if that leads to an Eisai/Anavex partnership, but not a speculation that I put too much currency on.
