Comment: re: CBD

Hello, I've been using CBD in various application for nearly two years. I had chroninc pain and anxiety since a heart attack in 2005 (anxiety) and lumbar back surgery in 2008 including a laminectomey and fusion. Have chronic spinal stenosis. This limited activities, mostly attributed the stenosis and the after effects of the surgery due to my reliance of drugs that entrapped me. They were a nightmare. You know this is true. And what the medication could not do, alcohol did. Got it?

Found a local store selling CBD tincture. I was told it could be used as a tincture or vaped. Tried as tincture, awful taste. Bought an essential oil diffuser and eventually found the right mix with water and have had it going daily in my home ever since. The fragrance is neutral. There are no respiratory issues.

Dependence on Zanax was the first to go and I noticed a definite change in pain level which had vasillated between 7 and 10 on any given day on which days I would take Tramadol - opioid or Oxycodone one of the mothers of opiods.

Then I found CBD Gummie Bears. After some trial and error, I found the right product and dosage. Well Hell's Bells. Here I sit upright, pain free, anxiety free. Last week I beach walked nearly 41 miles and climbed 1200 steps as recorded by my Fitbit. I topped off the fall of 2018 and did a 32 mile bike trip - with several 20 milers preceding this and daily lesser mileage rides. Based on personal experience and years of taking addictive medications, I am fully convinced without CBD THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD HAVE KICKED THE OPIOIDS NOR BEAT THE PAIN, NOR ABLE TO PURSUE ACTIVITIES THAT I THOUGHT LONG PASSED. YES, EVEN IMPROVED "THOSE" ACTIVITIES!

To continue with holding access of CBD in any form, would be an injustice to people suffering as I did for many years that are concerned about legality or actual health benefits, would be irresponsible inaction by the FDA. I have been no unpleasant side effects, no illness - and in early June got great reports from my Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist - in fact I feel better and look better than most of my peers and in my late 40's and on. I went from a 42 to a 34 inch waist as a result of increase activity ability. I am now 67. Millions will benefit on your decision to legalize CBD as an addition to food products and refute the stigma attached to CBD that depend upon "FDA Approved" on a label. Failure to push this bill forward and pass it would prove and unfortunate and unnecessary action on the part of the agencies. Millions of who use this introduce our friend to it and they too become purchasers. We would STILL find a way, likely a black market would develop, to purchase. We would break the rules because we know first hand the benefits and improvement this has made in our lives. Its like a kick ass aspirin - good for all. Clarify this, approve this. It IS YOUR responsibility to do for those legally residing in the USA. It is not right that big pharma rules the world, holds us captive with addictive pain killers or pills that suppress energy and sap one's spirit. It is right for the people Push this forward with out delay. Push this forward Now. As the saying goes, JUST DO IT. You will be of help to millions Contact information provided below
