All of these LP's and to some degree the MSO's are in the share selling biz, they don't have any other revenue to sustain them while they await the fictional US Legalization promise.
Predictions on how low this can go? Where do we think this stock will be in 3 months? I say $1.25 a share and any other guesses? I would not be surprised if ACB printing and selling more share soon.
Literally no better than a penny stock at this point. Glad I waited on loading until post split, not sure I want it anymore
Plummeting like a rock. How low can the stock go? I predict $1.25 a share. A reverse split is death to a stock and will they issue more shares to cover the cash flow needs? Too many have gotten into the cannabis game and depressed prices and competition is still growing.
it's also a joke down to .00001 AND , it's a joke up to 100.00 . currently shares outstanding is 15.73 million . float count is 15.68 million . LoL !
I'm sure it won't be the last... Glen leaving makes me a bit nervous as well.
One of these times they are going to figure it out and the price is going to run!! They use shareholders to practice!!
$0.27 before the R/S
TADAAAAAAAAAH !!!!!! it's above $1.00 ! ( in the worst way possible ) .
In today's press release, Glenn stepped down as well.
actually , it'll be just 4 trading days . reverse split , ENGAGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
ACB: effective Feb. 20,2024 a one for 10 reverse split:

5 more years before you see $1.00 , now I call it garbage

New aquasition... adds to m the dilution but they are splitting anyway... and we need to grow so where it makes sense. Thus I'm torn. Will be interesting what is said in the earnings

They’ve literally PR’d they are splitting
I don't see that happening anytime soon, but they definitely screwed over a lot of investors
I'm also not impressed....
They are following Canopy into the R/S death spiral. These LP's really have no options left. They believed the BS about legalization and drank the kool aid. Now they are in a last ditch effort before BK.
this is , in fact , not fantastic . now realize the primary reason for the industry not being permitted to evolve like it should be . introducing the most dynamic hypocrite in the history of the human race . enjoy . https://www.marijuanamoment.net/biden-misstates-cannabis-pardon-impact-newsletter-january-30-2024/
Devastating news as a reverse split will plunge the stock again. After reverse I predict $1 to $1.50 soon after. Reverse splits never work out well. Reverse on February 20th and how low can it go before the reverse.
They just announced another reverse split today. This is horrible.
I believe the question posed was asking if/when the options position qualifies for a long term gain tax rate , no ? I never focus on that and honestly don't care because of the expiration date exists I believe a options position in possession for 1 month ? if sold for a loss qualifies as a tax write off . I never hold a options position more than 6 or 7 months . Thats my strategy anyway , I just acquired a starter call options position in ACB in 45 contracts @Rimshot333-25, $160.00 investment . sell order already posted @ $ 2.00 per contract , roughly a 6600% gain if all of the planets align as needed . LoL .
...when does the clock start for long term gains?...
How are stocks taxed?
There are two types of capital gains taxes on realized stock gains:
Short-term capital gains tax
Short-term capital gains tax is a tax on profits from the sale of an asset held for a year or less. Short-term capital gains tax rates are the same as your income tax bracket.
Long-term capital gains tax
Long-term capital gains tax is a tax on profits from the sale of an asset held for longer than a year. Long-term capital gains tax rates are 0%, 15% or 20%, depending on your taxable income and filing status.
Long-term capital gains tax rates are usually lower than those on short-term capital gains. That can mean paying lower taxes on stock sales.
the percentage increase is the only thing that matters when buying stock or stock options ( profit ) . when a stock that trades on the options market moves 1% in either direction that typically equates to a 10% move in a option contract . one example regarding the position I will acquire , the ACB $5.00 strike expiring 1-17-25 @ around .03 per contract is this strike is considered to be way " out of the money " meaning it's usually considered " risky " . You must ask yourself this -> Do I think ACB could see a $5.00 per share stock price IF the U.S.S.A. reschedules or de-schedules cannabis before maybe October ? Understand options have a expiration date so you're placing a bet that features a restricted time line . One options contract represents 100 shares of stock meaning the calls I'm going to acquire will be each contract for .03 will actually cost me $3.00 , .03 x 100 = $3.00 . I'm thinking 666 contracts . roughly $2000.00 invested . now consider this scenario -> the ACB stock rises to say $2.00 , on some hype , or whatever , that would most likely result in my calls going to .60 per contract . Thats a 2000% increase . The contracts I possess after 1-17-25 will be worth absolutely nothing on 1-18-25 . I would have for the most part a calender year to sell the entire position . Options also feature something called " time decay " which does mean they start to automatically decrease in value starting around 65-70 % into their " lifespan " . Option do require some strategic calculating but 1000 % + gains are rarely experienced buying the stock out right . there is even more involved with options trading than I have mentioned but I suggest to everyone controlling their own fate to learn the details of the options side of the market . now consider ACB hitting $5.00 per share in the next 3-4 months , the contacts that are .03 right now could increase to dollars . now do the math on the potential % increase . unlimited " what if's " .
I never looked into calls but see everyone talking about them. Is it really better than just buying the stock? Also, when does the clock start for long term gains?
LoL , I just discovered a opportunity that will be a great idea for everyone posting here that has very little risk and a substantial degree of reward . It's called call options in ACB . Take a look at the open interest numbers on the call option side & compare those to the put option side . Specifically the $ 5.00 strike expiring on 1-17-25 . Right now the ask is .03 per contract . If you're reading this & are fond of face melting gains , take a look . Remember , investing as little as $ 100.00 could turn into Thousands in profit . 2024 is looking to be a pivotal year for the green tsunami that is inevitable .
Price increases imo are coming this year! When this year.. no idea:

We haven't started moving yet like the others. I believe acb said they are making their final payment this month on some debt, which imo just gets us ready to soar once they announce it's over. My opinion....but might explain the sideways movement.

$ACB $0.47 Feels like a squeeze coming short term. Loaded some for long term too. It dumps and I will buy more
Was hoping we would have been above 50 cents today to trend up (usd). Maybe just a delay..wouldbe nice if the marketwouldjust always do what i expect.. haha.
