Read the FULL transcript of his statement. He condemned white nationalists and the Klan.

He also said their were "fine people on both sides"--meaning that there were fine people on both sides of the issue of removing or keeping the Robert E. Lee statue. There were NON Nazi, white supremacists, Klan etc. who were there to keep the statue.

There also were fine people who do not support the Antifa group--not their violent tactics (which are shared with the white supremacist crew).

Listen to the ENTIRE transcript. When I heard it for the FIRST time---before any spin--I understood what he way saying. But the Left jumped on only one quote--"Fine people on both sides" and conflated that into defending white nationalists/Klan etc.

Sorry--but that is intellectually dishonest.
