Well- maybe there is something potentially in the works for the future that would call for it.
Mostly I would expect that they are hedging against any unforeseen circumstances where they would need it. it's always a better situation to make those arrangements when you don't need them.
A lot of companies do it. I invest in biotechs and I think everyone of them has done this at some point.
