Yes, thanks for the clarification. I vaguely remember the discussion but didn't grasp its importance at the time.

Actually, this is even scarier.

A little more googling tonight and this hits home..

https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2018/10/trauma-inherited-generations/573055/

I know from family history that during the civil war the entire family of one of my ancestors was forced into a boxcar and sent out of a southern town because they were considered to be northern sympathizers. Only one child survived, a boy who was on his own at the age of eight. I could see the pattern of intergenerational trauma in the family and I've always admired my mother for breaking out of that pattern. She also brought several of her younger sisters into her home and helped them get better education and jobs, they have done well.

In my family this would be consistent with this observation from the article above, as the girls did better than the boys and the trauma was in my grandfather's line:

I asked Jirtle if there’s anything we can do, short of demanding to see our mother’s food diaries during pregnancy, to try to erase some of our ancestors’ traumas. Jirtle says we still need more research to figure out such answers. But he pointed out that in Costa’s study and some others, the blow to longevity held true only for the sons of POWs, not daughters. Costa believes the epigenetics are being transmitted through the Y chromosome only.

It would be a real blessing if 2-73 could aid in healing from this sort of trauma.

It could mean that children of parents poisoned by toxic chemicals or toxic events will have a better chance to create a good life for themselves and their children.

Incredible!
