I agree with what you are saying.

Cron and Canopy both did Big Deals and their stocks are flying high. Some would say they are even overvalued at these levels. But who cares - its good for their shareholders.

As a shareholder of ACB, I would also like ACB's Share Price to fly high also (like Cron and Canopy).

When I sell and buy shares, I am doing so around a core position. As such, if a big deal is announced by ACB - I will still make money when ACB goes to $14 -$15 share as you predict.

However, buying and selling shares makes me money in the short term as well.

Just sitting around and waiting for ACB to announce a big deal was not making me any money on ACB's volatility.

Buying and selling shares is not an "all or nothing" game. You can hope for the best (big deal) while still preparing for the worst (huge sell off).
