I have followed this since the beginning pretty much, though some of my memory maybe a bit cloudy. I had a client who worked for the company and actual met Ron when they had the electronic show in Atlanta. I believe the bought the rights from Microphase for a product called a pots splitter to market. They had a product demo on how to connect to the internet. They worked with a community in S.C. to provide the service and put a local guy on the board I believe. It really never took off. Ron set up shop at the Ga. Tech campus area to glean an air of legitimacy and prestige. From there they tried different hot ideas of the day to peak interest while continuing to feed off others to garner their gravitas. They used Universities, the DOD, awards, Porsche(flashlight) etc. Many of these could be bought. Ron was particularly good as a con man selling paper while never making a profit but coming across as legit. That is until caught on the Packetport deal. I hope that gives you some general background.
