ELAN- Flssh2you, thanks for that MF article on ELAN. I never would have caught that article as I never read Motley Fool due to my belief in the poor quality of their content. However, Jim Crumly (TMFSpeyside) appears to have researched and created a terrific piece on ELAN, assuming all his facts are correct (no reason not to believe them). There are many points in his article that make ELAN an absolute avoid, especially the three years of flat revenue growth, the business segments they are in, short term convoluted financial metrics, consumers avoiding any animal protein that contain antibiotics like the plague, etc. It appears Lilly was wanting to dump this dog out the back door while the interest in this space was hot.. PE of 34 with no growth in sales for at least 3 years. Just wow..
