and I can tell you quite clearly, the problems we have with restrictions on our freedom are not even close to that
No, not today, not here, or just not yet.
I'm too young to have lived through the holocaust, but I'm related to others who weren't. My own family was here for the most part.
Still, how do you look at the ethnic cleansing of Israel in 1948 and not see the heavy hand of Nazism? How do you look at the hell of Gaza and not see Warsaw? How do you turn away from the collective punishment and the waterless squalor of the West Bank and not see it? How does the cleansing of southern Lebanon to the Litani River, just as David Ben Gurion vowed to do long before there was a PLO or a Hezbollah, not smell of it?
How do you view the 4 million dead in Southeast Asia... or each male from child to octogenarian turned back at the checkpoints to be incinerated in Fallujah?
How do you excuse the commonplace murder of those who dare to report from those locales and yet allow no one to use the word Nazi?
How do you, who has apparently seen the faces of the Waffen SS close up, not see them reflected in the poster calling himself "Brainlessone" right here on this thread? How doesn't the screeching Yayaa evoke it or the guy who extols us not to be "haters" when we protest the far-reaching and murderous intent of these animals?
Is it so far to go to see the Nazi ideology in the Bush family, who literally joined them in their attempt to exterminate us, and who now turn their attention to some other darker race?
Are you so frightened at this juncture that you dare not raise your eyes to look at the monsters, let alone raise your voice to oppose them? That you will quiet those who would and that you'll give them a by on the same genocide they've committed again and again if only they'll just do it to someone else this time? That won't work.
But of course I'll abide by your wishes landsman. It's your thread and you may censor it as you see fit, but you're missing an opportunity to exercise freedom.
