This reverse merger speculation is probably just bunk, but intrigued, I did a little online research, and here's a connection:

The recent post #9538 by Cherry discussed the recent big convention in Florida that led to speculation that the Perot company might be interested in SHMP. In that same post referring to that Florida conference is the following pullquote:

"...Tone Bjornstad Hanstad, an equity research analyst who follows the global salmon industry for DNB Markets, in Oslo, Norway, has been following the growing interest in RAS for a few years..."

Since Marine Harvest (MHG.OL), the company referenced in this post I'm replying to here about alleged reverse merger speculation is from Norway , and is a big player in the seafood industry, I noticed that DNB Markets, a market research firm focused on the seafood industry, is also from Norway, and was also at this recent Florida industry conference. Doing an online search, I see that Norway's DNB Markets has been following Norway's Marine Harvest, and has even written about Marine Harvest's opinion as to the significant potential of some of these upcoming aquaculture technologies, including land based technologies, of which little old SHMP's technology is a part, is apparently better, and is now patented.

I know this is a stretch, but there is a connection, an indirect one at least. There were other articles that apparently tied DNB to Marine Harvest analysis, but I would have had to sign up to gain access and I did not.

In any case, it seems there is now speculation at least that big companies like Cargil, Perot and now Marine Harvest, may all be interested in little old SHMP. Does that mean there's a buyout imminent, who knows, but it got my attention just a bit more now, and I thought to share.

Note: A reverse merger is a form of takeover, but though I am not an expert, it is my understanding that a reverse takeover or reverse merger is generally associated with a private company wanting to go public, and by doing it this way it can save a considerable amount of money and time. The public company is often more a shell, but in this case SHMP is not a shell but owns the patent. If MHG is listed in Norway but not the US, maybe there's something there, or maybe there are other reasons why a reverse merger might be done, but I thought to mention this as well. Since in reviewing MHG it does appear they have been involved in some restructuring activities, even a name change, maybe somehow those purposes fit well with changing their name to SHMP, given the scope of what this technology might mean. Food for thought too.

If nothing else, it does appear speculation is beginning to abound out there about little old SHMP. Another reason to think this little penny may not be a penny much longer.
