Kinross to make takeover bid for Bema - source

 
  
     VANCOUVER, British Columbia , Nov 6 (Reuters) - Kinross  
 Gold Corp. <K.TO> will make a takeover bid for fellow Canadian  
 miner, Bema Gold Corp. <BGO.TO>, a source with one of the  
 companies said on Monday.  
     "Kinross is taking over Bema Gold," the source told  
 Reuters.  
     Both Kinross and Bema's stock were halted on the Toronto  
 Stock Exchange on Monday morning.
