It is whatever one views it as ... I read the whole Obamacare bill ... It was written by large multinational Corporations to benefit themselves, while kicking the National and smaller companies out of the marketplace.
It is unconstitutional to begin with. The interstate commerce law is exaclty that. A Law. Not part of the constitution.
Having said that, I see my doctor every six months because I am on a medication for Anxiety which is really just a chamical imbalance. She says that about one out of every .30 people whom come into her office has the AHCA as funding. This lines up nicely with the 8 Million whom are using the AHCA like Dave Janda says.
ON top of that, the AHCA is a Cadillac plan that has 10 different guidelines the insurance companies have to follow. I have had a lot of people call me on this because they know I have the details. The average cost of insurance for them last year was 20% higher than they had with formarly private insurance firms.
The largest insurer in the country, Aetna, has pretty much dropped the AHCA, while the thir largest UHC has cancelled insurance in 2300 different countries nationwide. Most areas now only have one insurer to choose from, and some have none.
We are on our way to midicare for everyone. And not the ridiculous bill the democrats proposed. The Medicare A/B/D coverage will eventually drop to a qualifying age of 60. 55 would be better.
We will have Midicare for the rest of the people eventually if we can get the Corporations out of our ways as follows:
Coverage for the maajor costs ...
Catastrophic Health Care
Preventative Health Care
Coverage for Pre-Existing conditions
Prescription drug coverage to include filling the Donut Hole
It will cut costs so much for businesses, that they will hire a lot more people for over 30 hours a week. GAP insurance will be about 25% of the cost, and people will gladly pay it.
In terms of Medicaid ... People really have no idea about how medicaid works in the U.S.
Basically, people have to be broke with no assets to qualify. If one does have assets, the govt takes those assets to cover the cost. I have talked to many people whom have gone through this including people in our families.
So Basically, what I am telling you ... Know what you are talking about before you make the ridiculous claims based on links or whatever. Talk to people here in the U.S. ... They are the ones that have to live with it.
The Genie is out of the bottle here, and govt Health Insurance is here to say. Medicare has an overhead rate of 4% vs. 20+ precent that the few companies that are allowed to participate in the AHCA. A Huge Savings right off the starting line, so to speak.
I do have one more question ... Why do I have to be virtually the only person I know to actually read these bills? 2700 pages or whatever ...
