This is a letter I just got on ( One of my patients that I had prescribed Vascepa )From CVS Caremark /carefirst patient:
‘ our records indicate that you are currently taking a prescription drug for which there is a lower-cost clinically equivalent alternative that your physician needs to prescribe, starting January 1, 2019 the medication you’re currently taking will no longer be covered , and if you do not change to an alternative you will be responsible for the full cost of your medication ‘
And guys please do not ask me to fight with the insurance company because I simply don’t have the time.
