In HAM-D there are 3 insomnia scorings: Insomnia Early, Insomnia Middle and Insomnia Late, each using a 0, 1 or 2 scale.

So the score 8 down to 0 with insomnia symptoms could be 4 each with a score of 2 or 8 with a score of 1 or some combination thereof. So it could be 8 patients that improved, 4 or a number in between - we can't tell.

Since we have an early, middle and late score, I assume in the sleep cycle. It could even be 1 patient that scored 2 in each period = 6 and one scoring 2 in one period for a total of 8.

There may be natural variability in insomnia e.g. a score of 0 one week could be 1 the next or visa versa.

Yes it is very encouraging that none had insomnia at 12 and 24 weeks, but is not necessarily slam dunk amazing.

I am merely trying to say that everybody i.e. n=30 improved 100% can't be right, 4 might have improved a lot or 8 might have improved a little or some mixture.

Now I just want to know if I have completely misunderstood the HAM-D scores and why. As always happy to be wrong.
