Not all MLPs are fee-based. Contracts often fail to recognize differing amounts of volume when piping commodities. Also, when the producer's volume dries up due to competitive forces in play, the pipe company suffers a contractual collapse due to bankruptcies on the other end.

In short, AMZA is vulnerable as is any company.


MLPs are getting trashed but they won't remain down for long because they represent ongoing critical needs---energy.
