Of course. There is no aspect of the 7 week trial which would lead to a continue/not continue of the next trial.
The second trial will go forward on possibly adjusted for dose etc. So there is no reason not to start the 4 week baseline on the volunteers for the larger trial. How are likely all lined up and at the moment ready. But not likely to dose the larger trial until first has concluded analysis.
