Why take care of the money before potentially near-term results potentially increase the value of shares upon which to finance?

Well, in the past, any time they’ve released any good news - e.g. the scientific advisory board or the journal (just a few examples) - it’s been followed by a decrease in the share price. That seems unnatural, to me anyway, so perhaps their thinking is that it’s best to start the party in their finest clothing, as opposed wearing their matchstick peddler clothes. And I’m not talking emperor’s clothing either.

I guess they could raise money selling more shares. But I wonder if that’s what they really want to continue to do? There is so much potential money to be raised on those warrants still, without diluting all of us dear longs even more.

Well, in the unusually stated words of the rapper Common in his starring role in the Microsoft commercial, “that is the qweston to be used.”

How DO they raise money without using shares? I guess we'll have to see how, and if, it plays out like that.

Or are you saying we've passed this year's potential unblinding window, and there are no near-term results that might be publicly shared?

No, I would not say that at all. You and I both, along with many other savvy longs here think that somewhere between August and November, some type of data may be forthcoming. We may be wrong, but as both you and I laid it out earlier this week, there have been some strong public hints that this may actually be the case. I would be remiss, however, to not note that we’ve been disappointed before. So we’ll have to see. I will also add that plans also change, it would seem, quite often, as one must react to changing circumstances.

What I’ve suggested that I think is possible is that it would be nice for them to first present financial news, so that if any good news were to follow, any shorts might not have plausible cover in suggesting a financing is to follow (in order to short some more), because the financing would actually be done.

That's how it plays out in my dreams anyway.
