Rett Syndrome Association of Australia - RSAA shared a post. October 19 at 7:49 AM · Today i met with the CEO of Anavex Life Sciences Corp. NY to discuss the possibility of a clinical trial of their novice drug ANAVEX2-73 to treat Rett Syndrome patients, right here in Australia. The drug has shown very promising results in pre-clinical trials and an application was made to move to a clinical trial, While I was with Christopher he took a phone call advising him that their FDA approval to commence that trial was granted in the USA which is a major milestone in any commercial trial. These discussions are still in early stages however Anavex has agreed to run a trial here with our girls, The RSAA will post updates and information on both Facebook and the RSAA website (i will do my best to upload a presentation on the drug this weekend) but in the mean time please see attached FDA announcement.
