I agree, but wouldn't use the expression - "Game of Chance". While not incorrect, I would prefer to qualify it as a "Game of Probability". A chance is a possibility. Winning a lottery is a chance and a possibility but a terrible probability. Investors seek high probability. Personally, I don't want hype on this board and I don't want bashing; these extremes, like "fake news", normally don't further one's intelligence. It serves all of us as investors to understand the hard facts free of bias and personal motivations. We do hope because we are invested, but we can't let hope cloud our thinking. Yes, we can hope to win a lottery, but I'm an investor, so I don't play the lottery since winning is so improbable that even the immense reward doesn't justify the effort and cost to purchase one.
