The result was a bunch of hype about billions of barrels found and Genie's request to drill ten more wells to prove it.
In the end, Genie did no testing or analysis and discontinued operations after injuring two workers and realizing a hold on operations by the Israeli Energy Ministry. Thats what happens when you break the rules in Israel and why no major oil companies are there. Drilling in Israel does not meet big oil's profit models.
