"If the DoD needs something that can not be found in the USA they will give a waiver."
is that why kim bought all that land and wants to plant all them mulberry trees in texas?..and locked kblb in to a 9 yr lease?..
because they are not needed?..
"Silk is already allowed to be produced outside the USA for DOD contracts"
I missed the parts where all these paragraphs you are quoting say they also are referring to SPIDER silk...you know super secret, super high tech, take over the world spider silk?..
make fantastic bullet proof material..superior to anything now on earth..and do it while keeping the vests light weight and flexible...not to mention protective clothing, the likes of which have never been seen before..you know, take a strand and lasso a 747 in flight...
or given all that, is this one of those times we are going to claim spider silk is no different than regular silk?..
or is the army satisfied that kim and his 6 cent company can do all that needs to be done to make sure no one gets their hands on the tech while making tonnage in Vietnam, right next door to china?..
if kblb's spider silk is all that it is cracked up to be, you are telling me that the U.S Army will be ok with getting its ballistic material from a shack in a third world communist country..
i don't see that happening..
