Ahhhh--. Breakthrough here. The definitions bandied about are not accurate.

My point is that the Left Wing today are really totalitarians. They want more government, more regulations, more government control, more control over speech, more control over citizens right to own guns etc.

And Democratic Socialism that has been successful where its been implemented has a real footnote attached--"Where they do it successfully".

The countries you would cite are very small in population and have a very short democratic history.

Those Democratic Socialist countries that did not work, like Venezuela, were just not "successly implemented".
