This is such a strange story. How did/do they make money? Simply by drawing up financing agreements and getting stock from the companies they promise money to? But that stock would presumably be restricted, and when the companies realized they weren't getting any money six months to a year down the road, they could refuse conversion and terminate the agreement.
Do some, or even most, of the companies realize it's a fraud and play along so they can use the financing agreements to pump their stocks? Do they pay a kickback to Milost, or allow them to convert and sell their stock?
Either way, I suspect Mandla Gwadiso isn't the only fictional character in this scheme. They wouldn't be bringing in enough cash to support a "team".
