I've been watching these comments about shorting for a couple weeks and I've got a very basic question I hope someone can answer....

If you're short and you need to buy to cover, why wouldn't you do it at these levels? The stock can't go any lower!

Please someone enlighten me on this. Everyone here feels that the shorts will have to buy when it goes back up. Can you point me to a stock where the shorts were made to cover as the stock went back up?

I just need some light shed on the subject.
