Kraig Biocraft Laboratories Inc. Invests In The Hi-Tech Raising Of Silkworms In Quang Nam

(QNO) - Kraig Biocraft Laboratories Inc. (USA) was licensed to invest in the hi-tech raising of silkworms in Quang Nam province by the provincial Department of Planning and Investment in April, 2018.

Accordingly, the company will build a hi-tech laboratory for silkworm research covering an area of 4,168m2 at Dien Quang General Trading Service Cooperative (Na Kham hamlet, Dien Quang commune, Dien Ban town) with a total investment of USD 2.2 million.

If the experiment of silkworm rearing is successful and approved by functional agencies of Vietnam, the Quang Nam People's Committee will consider to allow Kraig Biocraft Laboratories Inc. to continually invest and develop the silkworm rearing project in commercial scale.

This project is planned to cover an area of 50ha in Dai Hiep commune, Dai Loc district. It also gives a hope of restoring traditional mulberry cultivation and silkworm rearing in Quang Nam province.
