Marketgems Earnings Trader- Trading Strong or Weak Earnings Growth

XOMA, SERO, JCOM and yes even FNM were my biggies for today. TNOX was good but not a 'biggie'. Now I have my strangles ready for earnings. This is not unlike a "lesson plan" daily, I can't just enter stocks when folks say 'they're in' or out' I never know the price they got in, what was the set up, or what happened to the trade, buying highs and shorting lows. (It's like those frustrating news stories you see in the papers and they never seem to follow up on the story later on) You never learn that way, you just get perplexed.

I filter out everything and just trade my lists and the occasional earnings play I post. Of course I can trade the expensive semis just "in the waiting room" waiting for the bigger % gains from my others, so MERQ would have been good (I never bothered though)

When you have the chart patterns in front of you and plan in advance you don't just "go long" at highs, etc. LLL did well in a potential reversal play but tomorrow will tell the tale made up for chasing BA that would have actually been a good short!
