SEI Investments Co. (SEIC) said it earned $60.5 million, or 60 cents a share, in the third quarter, up from $49.2 million, or 48 cents a share, in the same period a year ago.

The Oaks, Pa., company said revenue rose to $298.1 million from $193.7 million.

The average estimate of analysts polled by Thomson First Call was for earnings of 57 cents a share on revenue of $289.6 million.

Shares closed Tuesday down 1.6% at $58.77. The stock reached a 52-week high of $60.69 on Oct. 11.
