I’m a long but I don’t fully subscribe to the naked shorting theory. Is it happening, maybe but I don’t know for sure. This decline in PPS is pretty easy to understand. People are treating this like a P&D because it is on the OTC combined with company silence has seen this PPS deteriorate. I do however know that Shorting is happeneing to some extent. No denying that.
Now once again people have argued over what extent this thing has been shorted. Some point to FINRA and some report to OTC short report. In my opinion it doesn’t matter. If you don’t know how dangerous or expensive it is to short penny stocks go do some research. You will find horror stories of shorters who get stuck in the hole hundreds of thousands of dollars. There is no safety net with shorting and you can have infinite losses, which makes it such a dangerous game.
With that in mind any amount of shorting, which we know some is happening, would encourage shorters to make sure they covered. Likely they would go to all ends to make sure the price dropped including yelling FIRE SELL ALL YOUR SHARES and spreading misinformation on public boards.
That I do subscribe to. Is naked shorting happening, I’m not sure, but shorting definitely is, no denying and that can also lead to a drastic decrease in share price. People better be careful though this one is wound tight. One PR about phone sales will cause this thing to shoot up and shorters may not be so lucky as a future dump may not be in the cards.
