The general consumer- IMHO

Scanning the Sunday morning paper (flyers) from Best Buy, Circuit City and Office Depot, many of the laptops (Lenovo, Toshiba, Hp and Gateway) may be equipped with a TPM. Shopping at Costco, laptops on display are Hp and Gateway. TPM is never mentioned.

The general consumer believes that McAfee or Symantec along with the annual licensed fee is the internet security. Some consumers (me) will use free Spybot or their broadband vendor such as SBC anti-spy software to clean the cookies and eliminate unwanted virus. I am told that your router is the filter from unwanted intrusions from home (I am not a tech guy).

I do not look for the consumer to lead the way, they will eventually follow suit.

For me:
1. When the government awards a contract with clarity that specially involves wavx from the DoD; their contractors, LMAero, Boeing, Northrop, General Dynamics, Raytheon, GE, Pratt, and the food chain below these fortune 500 companies (consultants, suppliers, small business) below them will follow suit.

2. Revenue or major new from NTT, Diebold, the lawyers (scorp), banks, doctors, real estate brokerage, wireless and of course Microsoft, Dell, Gateway, Seagate, Broadcom and Intel.

3. Hopefully Dell get their act together, because of poor service, they lost the company I work for business (300-400 laptops a year) to Lenovo (my new office laptop) and Hp is kicking everyone. IMHO, the Dell site has no clarity regarding wavx.

No debt, hiring, pizza works; hopefully a win from a major company that leads to revenues. If wavx hits DoD, we will see a jump in stock price like the old days. A lot of carrots, a lot of “ifs”, for my risk portfolio, I like the opportunities and see no or very little downside through the end of the year.

I would pay major dollars to get rid of all the passwords, I counted, between office and home a total of nine and of course some of the ones a work change every 3 months, what a pain for a 57 year old guy!
