This was posted last night. Retail shorts that dont want to cover will have their shares covered by their broker, and risk losing whatever collateral they used to get their margin accounts via the court system if they dont want to foot the bill. According to this poster, MM's face the same scenario, plus the loss of their livelihood. I don't think for one instance these fat cats would be willing to give that up.JMO.

If they are floor traders or MM's they could be called into their risk management department and be told to cover or else meaning their seats could be in jeopardy of being placed for sale and after that their houses, cars etc. Seen it happen at the CBOE on Black Tuesday. Trader's there where long and refused to get out of their positions until it was too late
